🪔 Diwali: Triumph of Light Over Darkness

The South Asian Student Association hosted our annual Diwali celebration, and it was magical. The Student Union was transformed with hundreds of diyas (oil lamps), colorful rangoli patterns, and the aroma of traditional Indian sweets.

Evening Highlights

• Lighting Ceremony - 500 diyas lit simultaneously at sunset


• Bhangra Dance Workshop - Everyone learned energetic Punjabi folk dances


• Henna Art - Professional artists created stunning mehndi designs


• Indian Street Food - Samosas, chaat, and gulab jamun


• Fireworks Display - Spectacular show over the campus quad

"Diwali is about community and hope," says Priya Patel, event organizer. "Seeing students from all backgrounds celebrating together made me so happy."
